Who Can Enter

Entrants must be legal residents of Kansas or Missouri who are 18 years of age or older and have lawful access to the Internet and a valid e-mail address at time of entry. Employees of WDAF TV/Local TV Holdings LLC, Curt’s Meats (collectively, “Sponsors”), their affiliated companies, advertising and promotion agencies, and the immediate family members of each such employee are ineligible.

How to Enter

1. The giveaway begins when the online recipe submission entry form is posted on http://www.fox4kc.com.com on or about September 4, 2010, and all entries must be received by 11:59 pm local Kansas City time on September 11, 2010. To enter, access the on-line recipe submission entry form and follow all posted instructions. Entry constitutes an assignment to Sponsors of all of your intellectual property rights in the entry materials, if any. Except where prohibited by law, entry constitutes permission to use winners’ names, hometowns, likenesses, and photographs for broadcast, online posting, or in any other media, and/or any advertising and publicity without additional compensation. Maximum one (1) entry permitted per e-mail address, per hour.

2. Sponsors are not responsible for any error, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operations or transmission, theft or destruction, or unauthorized access to, or alterations of, entry materials, or for technical, network, telephone equipment, electronic, computer, hardware, or software malfunctions of any kind, or inaccurate transmission of or failure to receive entries, communications with winner(s) or other giveaway information by Sponsors or entrants for any reason whatsoever. Sponsors are also not responsible for any injury or damage to any entrant’s or any other person’s computer related to or resulting from downloading any materials in the giveaway or for entries that are late, misdirected or incomplete. All entries become the property of Sponsors and none will be returned. CAUTION: ANY ATTEMPT BY AN ENTRANT TO DELIBERATELY DAMAGE ANY WEB SITE OR UNDERMINE THE LEGITIMATE OPERATIONS OF THE GIVEAWAY IS A VIOLATION OF CRIMINAL AND CIVIL LAWS, AND SHOULD SUCH AN ATTEMPT BE MADE, THE SPONSORS RESERVE THE RIGHT TO SEEK DAMAGES FROM ANY SUCH ENTRANT TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW. Sponsors reserve the right to cancel the giveaway if it becomes technically corrupted.

3. Top 8 recipes finalists will be selected based on the recipes with the most votes from 5 am on September 4, 2010 thru September 11, 2010 with an 11:59 cut off. The Top 8 finalists will be posted on the website on September 12, 2010. The Top 8 Finalist must be available on September 18 from 9 am – 11:00 am to tape their segment at the WDAF TV 4 station located at 31^st and Southwest Trafficway in Kansas City. The finalists will bring the finished dish, some of the ingredients and their own table, dishes. Voting for the Grand Prize winner between the Top 8 finalist will begin on September 12, 2010 at 5 am and run thru October 16 with an 11:59 cut off. The Grand Prize Winner will be announced on or about Sunday, October 17, 2010. The Grand Prize Winner will need to be available to tape their segment at the WDAF TV 4 Station located at 31^st and Southwest Trafficway either October 23 or 24.

The Prizes

4. The Grand Prize winner will receive a $100.00 gift certificate courtesy of Curt’s Meats. The 7 Finalists will receive a $50.00 gift certificate courtesy of Curt’s Meats. Prized provided by Curt’s Meats.

5. The Grand Prize winner and the 7 finalists will be notified by e-mail and/ or phone on or about October 17, 2010. The winners will be required to complete, sign and return a Certification of Eligibility and Liability/Publicity Release within 72 hours of the date of notification or he or she will be disqualified. If the Prize is won by an eligible minor, then the winner's parent or guardian must also sign the minor’s Certification of Eligibility and Release before the winner receives his or her prize. If a winner cannot be reached, or if a winner does not return the Certification of Eligibility and Release within the designated time period, the prize will be awarded to a substitute winner selected at random from among all remaining eligible entries.

6. Prizes cannot be redeemed for cash or substituted for any other items by the winners. The winners cannot assign or transfer prizes. Sponsor reserves the right to substitute any prize or component of any prize package with a prize or component of like or greater value, including cash, for any reason.

7. The winner is responsible for all local, county, state, and federal taxes on prizes based on the value of the prizes set forth in these rules.

8. Individuals are eligible to win only one (1) prize offered by WDAF TV within any 30-day period, regardless of the number of giveaways entered.

Odds of Winning Miscellaneous

9. The odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries received.

10. These giveaway rules are available at fox4kc.com and Monday through Friday during normal business hours at WDAF TV 30303 Summit, Kansas City, MO 64108 through October 17, 2010.

11. For the name of the prize winner, send a separate, self-addressed, stamped envelope after August 18, 2010 to: Fox 4 Football Recipe Roundup Contest / WDAF TV 3030 Summit, Kansas City, MO 64108.

12. This giveaway is subject to all applicable laws and regulations and is void where prohibited or restricted by law, including without limitation, in jurisdictions requiring registration, the establishment of a trust account, or posting of a bond, or any other requirements or disclosures that are not expressly satisfied by these rules. Sponsor is not responsible for typographical or other errors in the printing, offering, or administration of the giveaway, or in any announcement relating to the giveaway.

13. By entering, participants represent that they are eligible, and agree (a) to be bound by these rules and the decisions of the judges, which shall be final in all respects, (b) to release Sponsors, their corporate parents, subsidiaries, affiliates, and promotion agencies and the directors, officers, employees, and agents of each of these entities from any and all liability and claims for any injuries, losses, or damages of any kind caused by any prize or resulting from the acceptance, possession, use, or misuse of any prize, and (c) to the use of entrants’ personal information as described in WDAF TV’s Privacy Policy located at fox4kc.com.
